It's Green... It's Mean... It's not what you think.
This week’s challenge for the League of Extraordinary Bloggers comes from the great white North, and the Canadian Cave of Cool. Cal wanted to know your favorite childhood movie, but I thought it would be fun to open up the topic slightly…
When I was a kid, my favorite _______ was _______.
Ok, so the typical response to this would be "movie", "Star Wars". Or it could be "toy", "Star Wars". Even going with "memory" I end up with "Star Wars". So I had to dig think long (but not too long) about this one. So here we go...
When I was a kid, my favorite non-Star Wars toy was The Green Machine.
Some of you might not remember this. Here's a little something to refresh your memory.
Yeah, this thing was BAD! It was AWESOME! I made all those other kids riding around on The Big Wheel feel inferior. I was drifting before Drifting was even a sport. I could brag about knowing how to drive stick shift (for the record, I really do know how to drive stick shift). The kids from the block were begging me to ride my Green Machine... wait, that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean.
Yeah, I was cool.
Make sure check out other young love from members of The League.
Fortune and Glory (Days) seemed to have a normal childhood. Of course, "normal" is a relative term.
